Royal Air Maroc Expands Brazil-Morocco Routes with New Sao Paulo-Casablanca Flight

The Moroccan airline, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), will add a new Sao Paulo-Casablanca flight to its portfolio, according to a press release from the Arab Brazilian Press Agency (ANBA).
RAM expects to launch the new flight in December or January. It is the fourth connecting Sao Paulo to Morocco. According to the same press release, Brazilians can also reach Morocco with two other flights departing from Rio de Janeiro.
With this new route, RAM will bring the total number of flights linking Morocco to Brazil to six per week. This decision, according to ANBA, comes as RAM is about to join the Oneworld airline alliance in mid-2020.
Present at the Abav International Tourism Expo in Brazil, from September 25 to 27, RAM, through its Sales Director, informed the Brazilian media about the Oneworld Agreement.
"We have signed it, but we now have to integrate the systems, the mileage, the data. It takes time, but in June, everything will probably be connected," said Luanda Cesar Alruiz, Sales Director of Royal Air Maroc, who also stated that by joining the Alliance, "RAM will be able to connect to other stops in Brazil and Latin America".
The Sales Director, however, noted that the Agreement would help the company "grow a lot".
"With the connecting flight, customers will be able to easily check in two 23kg bags and carry a 10kg pocket item. For example, if they are leaving from Porto Alegre (RS) to take the flight in Sao Paulo, the bags will be included in the final ticket price, single. This could reduce costs for passengers," he added.
