Royal Air Maroc Cuts Routes to Middle East, Europe Amid Recovery Plan

As part of its recovery plan, in addition to job cuts and fleet reduction, Royal Air Maroc will cancel certain air routes. This, in order to benefit from the government’s support.
Royal Air Maroc will benefit from government aid to cope with the crisis. The amount of this support will be included in the 2020 Amended Finance Act.
Meanwhile, the company has already resumed its domestic flights since June 25. For the resumption of international flights, which is looming, it intends to eliminate certain routes considered unprofitable. This is the case for Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.
According to Hespress, the lines to Vienna, Athens, and the Scandinavian countries like Denmark and Sweden are also affected by this cancellation.
On the African continent, which provides the company with the bulk of its turnover, the lines of Angola and Chad have been canceled.
