Royal Air Maroc Cancels Order for Two Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft Amid Safety Concerns

Royal Air Maroc has abandoned the acquisition of two additional new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The Moroccan airline is said to have suspended its order for two new Boeing 737 MAX, launched in June. Several reasons explain this turnaround.
First, there are the crashes of two of the same type of aircraft from the American giant, which occurred in Ethiopia and Indonesia, within a few months. The toll is 350 victims.
Following these two unfortunate events, the Moroccan company had to ground the two old Boeing 737 MAX it owned.
Then, the differences between the American and European authorities could delay the return to service of the 737 MAX, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Finally, a pilots’ union of Southwest Airlines has sued the American aerospace giant for an estimated loss of more than $100 million.
