Royal Air Maroc Boosts Frequencies to Sub-Saharan Africa
Royal Air Maroc is intensifying its network toward sub-Saharan Africa for the summer 2026 season. Starting in June, several routes departing from Casablanca will benefit from additional flights and redesigned itineraries.
Starting in June 2026, the Moroccan carrier will significantly increase its weekly rotations to several major cities across the continent. According to data published by AeroRoutes, the connections linking Casablanca to Abuja will increase from four to seven flights per week by late June.
This expansion momentum will also affect Accra, with nine services instead of seven, as well as Lagos and Ouagadougou. Meanwhile, the route to Bamako will temporarily reach twelve weekly rotations between late June and mid-September.

This update to the summer schedule comes with a comprehensive overhaul of itineraries to optimize the network. Triangular flights serving both Cotonou and Lomé will be discontinued in favor of exclusive direct connections of four flights per week for each destination.
A reorganization will also target the Brazzaville-Kinshasa axis with the implementation of new specific triangular routes. Finally, capacity to Douala will experience strong growth to reach thirteen weekly services overall, while Libreville will benefit from an extended frequency of five flights during peak summer.
