Royal Air Maroc Addresses Luggage Delays on Montreal Flights Amid Airport System Changes

The national airline [Royal Air Maroc (RAM)] explains the delays recorded in the delivery of luggage for some of its clients traveling on its flights to Montreal, Canada.
The late delivery of luggage for some of its clients traveling on its flights to Montreal, Canada, "is due to the change in the baggage handling system in transit at terminal 1 of Mohammed V airport in Casablanca (CMN), which has led to significant delays in the routing of transit baggage to their final destination," explains Royal Air Maroc (RAM) in a press release. The company will specify that over the course of the daily flights, the delivery delays have led to a significant accumulation of luggage in the storage area of Montreal airport (YUL), whose capacity is limited.
This situation has prompted RAM to use a temporary external warehouse in order to process claims and deliver luggage under better conditions and as soon as possible. This warehouse is strictly secured and company agents are responsible for the reliable and secure delivery of luggage according to the administrative procedures in force, including the identification of the luggage references and the identity of its owner, the company assures, adding that it has also conducted an in-depth analysis of the causes of this malfunction, both internally and in its relations with its partners in Casablanca and Montreal, to prevent this type of situation from recurring.
It therefore promises a return to normal baggage handling as soon as possible.
