Ronaldo’s Son Sparks Intrigue by Wearing Rival Goalkeeper’s Jersey
Cristiano Junior, the son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, caused a surprise by appearing with the jersey of a goalkeeper well known to Moroccan supporters: Yassine Bounou.
While the latter is an iconic figure in football, this choice of clothing is surprising. Indeed, Bounou plays for Al-Hilal, a rival club of Al-Nassr where CR7 still thrills the crowds.
But the story doesn’t end there. Yassine Bounou was the last line of defense for the Moroccan team during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a competition that remains etched in people’s memories, particularly for the quarter-final that pitted Morocco against Portugal. A match that saw the victory of the Atlas Lions and the elimination of Cristiano Ronaldo and his team. Everyone remembers the Portuguese’s tears after his country’s elimination.
