Rising Star Amir Richardson Chooses Morocco Over France for International Soccer Career

Called up to represent the French U20 national football team, Amir Richardson opts for Morocco. The 19-year-old player who plays for Le Havre should replace the Bordeaux defender Timothée Pembélé, but he has declined the offer.
Amir Richardson is the son of former American basketball player Micheal Ray Richardson, but he is also Moroccan through his mother. Torn between France and Morocco, he has finally chosen the Atlas Lions.
According to L’Equipe journalist Hanif Ben Berkane, Amir Richardson has finally chosen Morocco and joined the U23 national team gathering in Rabat on Tuesday.
