Rif Region’s Amazigh Heritage Showcased at Al Hoceima Exhibition

On the sidelines of the first edition of the Youth Theater event, an exhibition dedicated to the Riffian Amazigh heritage opened in Al Hoceima. Since Saturday, the various craft products of the Rif region have been honored.
Kitchen utensils, old musical instruments and ancestral tools used in agriculture and harvesting, carpets, lamps, traditional clothes. These are among the products that make up the pride of the Riffian Amazigh heritage exhibition, according to Hespress.
Initiated by the Awras Association for Amazigh Theater, this event, which received the support of the Ministry of Culture, aims to make the customs and traditions of this rich and diverse heritage known to the younger generations, according to Anouar Bensaid, president of Awras.
The organization of a scenography training course supervised by the playwright Souleymane Aklati is also planned. This first edition of the Youth Theater sees the participation of 40 young people aged between 17 and 21 years old. The first day of these three-day events was marked by various activities, including artistic and musical performances performed by young people from the city of Al Hoceima.
