Rescue at Sea: 48 Moroccan Migrants, Including Minors, Saved off Spanish Coast

Maritime rescue agents and the Civil Guard maritime service rescued on Saturday 48 Moroccan migrants, including four minors, after the boat transporting them ran out of fuel.
The emergency service received a call indicating that Moroccan migrants were off the Grenadian coast. The boat transporting them ran out of fuel at sea. The Civil Guard managed to locate them about nineteen miles southwest of Motril, and transferred them to the port of Motril, reports EFE.

The Moroccan migrants, safe and sound, received initial humanitarian assistance from the Red Cross upon arrival on the quay, before undergoing a Covid test, in accordance with the current health protocol. The test results were made available to the national police. As for the migrants, they will remain in the temporary care center of the port.
