Report: Morocco Ranks Among Top Performing African Economies in 2016

Morocco has just been ranked among the most performing countries in Africa according to a report just published in Dakar.
Edited by the "Institut de l’Emergence" research group and cited by the magazine Challenge, this ranking examines the performance of 45 African countries, including inclusive wealth, economic dynamism, structural transformation, and good integration into the global economy.
According to this ranking, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia and Mauritius "are the most performing countries" for the year 2016, while Malawi, Mozambique, the Republic of Congo, Zambia, Madagascar, Rwanda, Guinea, Niger, Sierra Leone, Botswana, Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire and Zimbabwe have seen progress. Only Egypt and Sudan have regressed.
Economic emergence "takes a poor country from a low-growth equilibrium to a better equilibrium of strong and sustainable growth," says the author of this report.
