Report Highlights Morocco’s Economic Growth and Investment Opportunities

The first report from The Business Year has looked at Morocco’s economic advances. Titled "The Business Year: Morocco 2020/21", the report was produced in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
The Business Year: Morocco 2020/21 contains more than 100 interviews in which politicians, business leaders, and famous executives analyze the key strategies and future of the Moroccan economy and, at the same time, provide clarification to investors.
This report is a key indicator for better understanding the important sectors of the local economy and represents an essential tool for all those who wish to do business in North Africa, said Ayse Valentin, CEO of The Business Year. Furthermore, Morocco is the first North African country to be the subject of a The Business Year economic report, reflecting the country’s growing prominence as a "gateway" to Africa and an economic bridge to Europe.
As for trade, it has experienced a decline due to the consequences of the global health crisis. Thus, Morocco has seen a drop in tourist arrivals and the purchasing power of the local community. But "the uniqueness of our economy, its resilience, the mobilization of all public and private stakeholders have revealed a real ability to act as a ’Team Morocco’ and show the world the strength of our economic brand," said Hicham Boudraa, Acting Director General of AMDIE.
Several contributors to this report have discussed the economic momentum initiated with King Mohammed VI, the ambitious and avant-garde sectoral plans, and the resilience of a developing economy. The exchanges between the team of journalists and the country’s largest economic operators and decision-makers are available on Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, FactSet, Dow Jones Factiva, Google Books and PressReader, and on thebusinessyear.com.
