Renowned Choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui to Lead Geneva’s Grand Theatre Ballet

The Belgo-Moroccan choreographer and dancer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has been appointed to head the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève in Switzerland. He will replace Philippe Cohen in 2022.
The brilliant career of this dance professional born in 1976 in Antwerp justifies this prestigious position at the head of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève. Currently director of the Ballet de Flandre in Belgium, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has at his disposal about fifty choreographies performed at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Royal Ballet in London or the Opéra National de Paris, as well as clips and musicals, reports Le Monde.
Furthermore, his know-how has already allowed him to win several prizes, including two "Laurence Olivier" awards for Best New Dance Production and the "Ballet Tanz awards" prize, according to Wikipedia.
