Red or White? What color jersey for the Lions of the Atlas final?
The Moroccan national team faces Senegal this Sunday, January 18 at 8:00 PM at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final. Although the tournament is taking place on its soil, the Moroccan selection is administratively considered as the away team for this match and should, as such, wear its white kit.
The refereeing of this continental summit has been entrusted to the Congolese Jean-Jacques Ngambo Ndala, assisted by his compatriots Guylain Bongale Ngila and Gradel Mwanya Mbillizi. The South African Abongile Tom will officiate as the fourth official. Spectators will be able to follow the match on the Al Aoula TNT, Arryadia TNT and beIN Sports channels.
The weather conditions are expected to be cool for the kick-off, with a temperature of 8.1 °C and a humidity rate of 95%. Despite a cloudy sky, precipitation should remain marginal, with less than 1 mm expected during the match.
The preparation of this final has been marked by logistical tensions. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially rejected the grievances expressed by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) concerning the security at the Rabat train station and the accommodation of the delegation. The continental body specified that Senegal had been able to choose its five-star hotel and that an alternative training ground had been made available to it after its refusal to train at the Mohammed VI Complex. Regarding ticketing, CAF has maintained the strict application of regulatory quotas despite requests for additional volumes from Senegalese supporters.
