Record-Breaking Summer: Over 3.2 Million Moroccans Return Home in 2024 Marhaba Operation

The Marhaba Operation marking the return of Moroccans from Europe to Morocco in the summer will end on September 15. Since its start on June 13, more than 3.2 million MREs and nearly 800,000 vehicles have traveled between Spain and Morocco, already exceeding the 2023 figures.
A few days before its end, the 2024 Marhaba Operation has broken the records of 2023. According to data from the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies, in charge of coordinating the operation, 3,219,971 MREs and 790,517 vehicles transited through the Spanish and Moroccan ports between June 3 and September 4, exceeding the figures for the 2023 Marhaba Operation, which ended with 3,219,534
