Record 50,000 Moroccan Expatriates Cross Sebta Border in Weekend Surge

"About 50,000 Moroccan expatriates and 14,000 vehicles" crossed the Tarajal border in both directions between Friday and Sunday, with waiting times of up to four hours maximum, according to the government delegation in Sebta.
The government delegation in Sebta thanked the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) on Monday for the "frank collaboration" it has shown over the weekend by not decreeing the interchangeability of tickets between the shipping companies connecting the two cities, which has allowed the autonomous city "to adapt the volume of rotations to its capacity to manage the influx of entry into Morocco".
According to the delegation, the "coordination between the institutions" was "crucial to deactivate this interchangeability which would have led to disorder in schedules and boats". Fortunately, the transit of Moroccan expatriates went smoothly last weekend. More fear than harm then!
