Reality TV Star Afida Turner Announces Surprise French Presidential Bid
The former Loft Story candidate, Afida Turner, 43, announces her candidacy for the 2022 presidential election after that of the comedian, Jean-Marie Bigard. She dreams of becoming the President of the French Republic.
"Dear fans, dear French people, I announce my candidacy for the presidency in order to remedy the problems of the yellow vests and, moreover, this violent police," writes the Franco-American actress on Twitter from the United States where she is confined... far from the yellow vests and the police.
The comments are unleashed on the web. "I was sure it would happen one day. Long live Afida and long live France," "Can’t wait to make my choice between Afida Turner and Jean-Marie Bigard in the 2nd round," ironize some Internet users. "Vote Bigard 2022 to block Afida Turner"; "2022 can therefore be worse than 2020," comment others.
