Real Madrid Eyes Bayern’s Mazraoui to Bolster Defense, Challenge Carvajal

Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui is on Real Madrid’s radar to strengthen its defense for the next season. Arrived free at Bayern Munich last summer, the player has not had as much playing time as he had hoped.
According to sources close to the Madrid club cited by Fichages, the Merengues would have their sights set on the 23-year-old player to compete with Dani Carvajal for the right-back position.
Bayern Munich would be willing to let the Moroccan international leave, an opportunity that Real Madrid could seize to strengthen its defense. The player had already been followed by the recruiters of the Spanish capital when he was still playing at Ajax Amsterdam, where he had achieved good performances.
While the arrival of Fran García has already been made official to strengthen the left side of the defense, Real Madrid does not intend to stop there and is still looking to strengthen for next season. Real Madrid is however in competition with Barcelona which, on several occasions, has expressed its desire to enroll Noussair Mazraoui. Other clubs in the Premier League are also on the lookout.
