Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz Turned Down PSG Move Last Summer

Last summer, Brahim Diaz chose to stay at Real Madrid. However, Paris Saint-Germain, under the impetus of their coach Luis Enrique, had shown great interest in the player.
Despite a hamstring injury in late September, the native of Malaga has managed to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. He has played thirteen Liga matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He has also participated in three Champions League group stage matches.
The Spanish daily Relevo reveals that PSG was very active on the Diaz case during the last summer transfer window. Luis Enrique was particularly interested in the player’s profile, who has played for the Spanish national team before choosing Morocco.
Despite the efforts of the Spanish coach, Brahim Diaz categorically refused to leave Real Madrid. His goal was clear: to gain playing time and win titles with the Madrid club. For him, the increased competition did not weigh heavily, even with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé.
A choice that is proving to be profitable for the moment, as Diaz has managed to carve out a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. His performances on the pitch show that he has been able to hold his own despite the competition.
