Real Estate Scam in Tangier Defrauds Hundreds, Including Moroccan Expats

Hundreds of people, including MREs, have been victims of a real estate scam in Tangier. The developer is said to have disappeared into thin air, after pocketing large sums of money.
Several million dirhams are at stake, and the victims number in the hundreds. The perpetrator of the scandal, who is the subject of a wanted notice, sold them a fictional project, which aptly bears the name "dream of real estate", reported Tanja7.
The developer cashed in estimated down payments of millions of dirhams, before interrupting the construction work and disappearing. The man has been banned from leaving the national territory.
For now, the case is in the hands of the police, who managed to arrest his personal secretary, and issued a national arrest warrant against the main suspect.
