Real Estate Fraud Ring Busted in Marrakech: Three Arrested for Land Theft Scheme

The judicial police of Marrakech arrested three individuals suspected of real estate spoliation in Imintanout, in the Marrakech region. The public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.
The arrest of the suspects follows complaints filed by several people who were dispossessed of their land through document forgery. While they were proceeding with the delimitation of the land, the real owners discovered the deception. They filed complaints with the public prosecutor’s office, which ordered an investigation to shed light on this real estate spoliation. Subsequently, the judicial police managed to arrest three members of the network, but the fourth fled.
As soon as this case was made public, other victims in turn filed complaints, reports Al Massae. Similarly, the plaintiffs called on a judicial commissioner to verify the registration of the documents provided to them by one of the suspects. It was discovered that the register of the Imintanout pachalik does not contain the numbers appearing on the fake certificates.
For now, the investigation is ongoing.
