Rapper Maître Gims Partners with Moroccan Firm to Launch African Development Venture

Congolese rapper Maître Gims and a Moroccan company (Lamalif) have just joined forces and created a group called Lamalif Afrique, with what is said to be noble ambitions, in addition to business.
In Marrakech, this Tuesday, April 16, the famous Congolese rapper Maître Gims and the Moroccan group specialized in urban planning Lamalif signed a protocol agreement on the creation of the Lamalif Afrique group.
According to Hespress, this common goal of Moulay Lakbir Alaoui Ismaili, the president of the Lamalif group, and Maître Gims (perhaps it would be better to call him by his real name, Gandhi Djuna) comes from a common desire that will benefit African countries and allow "an exchange of skills and know-how in the urban planning sector between allied African countries".
Maître Gims believes that Lamalif Afrique "can only serve the capital of African human resources". The latter goes further: "With Lamalif Afrique, innovative projects will emerge with the expertise of Lamalif Group and young African skills. It is a matter of setting up modern cities at the forefront of new technology and training young Africans and ensuring them employment in their countries of origin".
To better understand what it is all about, other statements by the rapper must be highlighted: "We will offer adapted training for urban planning professions, public lighting and urban furniture, which will ensure decent jobs and prove that African competence can build the Africa of tomorrow".
The Moroccan businessman, for his part, declares: "Our ambition is to strengthen bilateral relations in terms of investments between Morocco and friendly countries, through actions on the ground, and sustainable and innovative urban development strategies".
It should be noted that this recently created group has already concluded partnerships with several African countries, including Mali, Chad, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
Last year, several rumors were circulating about the purchase of a plot of land in Marrakech, where Maître Gims has been living with his family for several years. This land would be used to build a hotel. The information had not been confirmed by the main interested party.
