Rapper French Montana Reveals Sobriety Journey, Embraces Healthy Lifestyle

The American rapper of Moroccan origin, French Montana, says he has definitively turned his back on drug and alcohol use.
"I stopped drinking, I stopped smoking and I started doing sports. [...] I stopped everything," French Montana assured during his appearance on the Rap Life Radio show, hosted by Eden Darden on the Apple Music channel. "And if you found yourself with friends, would you have a glass of wine?" the show host asked him. The rapper answers in the negative, but still admits that it is difficult.
The interpreter of Coke Boys 2 had been admitted to a San Fernando Valley hospital in 2019 following acute heart problems, stomach aches and nausea caused by his addiction to alcohol and drugs. Today, he is fighting not to fall back into the same pitfalls. "What I realize about people who are affected by this kind of thing (drug and alcohol addiction) is that sometimes the train passes you by and you don’t even realize it," he explains.
French Montana is currently promoting his fourth studio album entitled They Got Amnesia and has no intention of being distracted. "I’ll celebrate, but for now, I want to stay focused to focus on moving some things forward," he said.
