Rapper French Montana Opens Up About 2019 Hospitalization, Substance Abuse

The American rapper of Moroccan origin, French Montana, looks back on his hospitalization in 2019 and provides new details.
Last year, he had been admitted to a hospital in the San Fernando Valley due to acute heart problems, severe stomach pains and nausea. In a statement to XXL magazine, French Montana revealed that the real reasons for his hospitalization were exhaustion and drug addiction.
The interpreter of Coke Boys 2 explained that it was a combination of many things: being tired, dehydrated, losing himself, the pursuit of money, the pursuit of bad things, too much drinking, too many drugs. The rapper added that he was mixing Adderall and Percocet and ended up developing an increased dependence. After this episode in his life, he became sober.
"I think it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, to get myself back," he said. "So for me, just stopping everything and just taking a step back, it was like one of my biggest accomplishments.... It was November 21, 2019 (the day of his hospitalization). And since that day, I’ve never had to drink again. I just hit a year," the rapper assured.
