Rapper French Montana Claims Akon Gifted Him Counterfeit Luxury Watch

In a video posted on social media, French Montana said that Akon gave him a Hublot brand watch. "...I like stuff with diamond wires, so I took it to my jeweler. [...] Akon gave it to me for my birthday. He looked at me and said, ’What do you mean? Akon didn’t give you that’ [...]," he recounts.

"So I called him and said, ’Akon, my jeweler said it’s fake (fake watch). Say it’s not the case.’ He was like, ’What?! Let me call the jeweler,’" the rapper remembers. To this day, French Montana says he has not yet received the real watch from his friend.
