Radisson Expands Moroccan Footprint: 10 New Hotels Planned by 2025

The Radisson Hotel group, which is already present in two Moroccan cities, namely Casablanca and Marrakech, plans to build new hotel infrastructure in the kingdom. Its Regional Director for Africa, Frédéric Feijs, provided more details on this project.

Despite the health crisis situation, Frédéric Feijs reassures about the good health of the activities within the Radisson hotels in Morocco. As proof, after the lockdown, the two establishments have resumed their activities and are now welcoming their customers under optimal safety conditions. "Our priority at this time is indeed to ensure for our guests, as well as for our teams and partners, a safety and security system that meets international standards," he said in an interview with Inspirations Éco.

To this end, the group has put in place a comprehensive system to respond to the health emergency, called the "Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol", which is a program of thorough cleaning and disinfection procedures for hotels. In partnership with SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, the Radisson group has developed and endorsed improved protocols that have been adapted based on local requirements and recommendations, "in order to guarantee peace of mind for our customers," he affirms.

To adapt to the health crisis that has spared no sector, "we have relied on our fundamentals by making corporate responsibility a strong axis of our action and our main concern, the health of our customers and stakeholders," notes the Radisson group’s Regional Director for Africa.

Despite its choice to expand its presence and operations to sub-Saharan Africa, the hotel group will also concentrate significant resources in North Africa. "The proximity of North Africa and Europe is indeed one of the main drivers of tourism demand, and we believe that once the pandemic is over, the recovery will be supported by nationals of the region living abroad and returning to visit their families," says Frédéric Feijs, adding that "the relevance of our brands and our roots in Europe, as well as Radisson Blu’s leadership position as the largest upscale brand, demonstrate the cross-synergies we are able to translate across the two continents."

In Morocco in particular, despite the difficult economic situation that the world is currently going through, the Radisson group has opted to maintain its investments. This is how it plans to accelerate its development with the goal of opening ten new hotels by 2025 in the main cities of the kingdom, including Rabat and Tangier. By maintaining these growth projects in the kingdom, the Radisson hotel group aims to continue its role by making employment and the promotion of the Moroccan destination its top priority, concludes Frédéric Feijs, interviewed by Les Inspirations Éco.
