Rabat Hospital Investigates 3 Patient Deaths Amid Power Outage Concerns

Moulay Youssef Hospital in Rabat is on alert after the sudden death of three patients and the critical condition of a fourth.
The causes of this tragedy are under investigation. Sources from Alyaoum24 mention a possible power outage, while others point to a potential lack of oxygen.
An internal source confirms the power outage as the cause, which would have caused the failure of vital resuscitation equipment, particularly the oxygen supply. The incident occurred on the third floor, in the premises of the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center, now transferred to Moulay Youssef.
A commission from the Ministry of Health has gone to the site, in the El Akkari district, to conduct the investigation. This crisis comes as the hospital is already under pressure due to the influx of patients since the demolition of Ibn Sina for reconstruction.
This situation has created a chaotic environment and a lack of supervision for medical students, according to an internal source.
