Public Works Strike Paralyzes Morocco with 98% Participation Rate

The strike announced by the National Union of Public Works Sectors of the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, following unsuccessful social dialogues, was widely observed throughout the national territory.
The participation rate in the strike exceeded 98%, rejoices the Secretary General of the National Union of Public Works Sectors, affiliated to the Democratic Confederation of Labor. According to her, the union intends to use "all legitimate means to bring the workers’ demands", and "engage in negotiations with the authorities in order to obtain the review of the basic system of employees to protect their rights and social security", reports Hespress.
Due to this strike, vehicle registration centers were closed in several cities, she said.
