PSV Eindhoven Striker Driouech Out for Months with Ankle Injury

The PSV Eindhoven striker, Couhaib Driouech, suffered a serious ankle injury during training this week. This injury will keep him off the field for several months, a blow for the young player and the club.
PSV announced the news, stating that the duration of his unavailability would be several weeks. The 22-year-old Moroccan, who joined the club last summer from Excelsior for an amount of 3.5 million euros, has already made twelve appearances for PSV, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
"It is obviously extremely annoying, but I also know that this kind of risk is part of our profession," the player said on the club’s website. Despite the disappointment, Driouech remains upbeat and determined: "I hope to come back stronger."
PSV will have to do without his services for an indefinite period. The club indicated that an update on his situation would be communicated as soon as Driouech is able to resume training.
