PSV Eindhoven Prodigy Mohammed Ihattarenn Opens Up About Career Aspirations and Family Challenges

Mohammed Ihattarenn, the young PSV Eindhoven player, gave a long interview to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. An interview in which he discussed his club debut, his future and his father’s illness. But the question of his sports nationality was left unaddressed, as even though he is courted by Morocco and the Netherlands, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder has not yet chosen and does not want to talk about it for the moment.
"With my family, we moved from Utrecht to Eindhoven and then PSV recruited me at the age of 8. It’s an excellent training club. It gives young boys a chance," said the young player who, like all those in his category, dreams of a great career.
"I see it this way, at 24 years old. You have to be ready as a player. At that age, you must no longer have negative things in your game. You have to be so good technically, tactically and physically," he specifies.
According to the details received from the Dutch daily and quoted by Le360, Ihattaren also expressed his desire to play for a major European club within seven years. He is convinced that through perseverance and self-denial, he will have a career in high-level football.
During the interview, the Dutch-Moroccan player emotionally discussed the cancer his father is suffering from, one of the reasons he is having trouble choosing his sports nationality.
"My father is very ill. He had cancer for a while and he is now often in the hospital. If there is no training or competition, I want to be with him as much as possible," he concludes.
