PSG Star Achraf Hakimi: From Humble Beginnings to Soccer Stardom

From a father who was a street vendor and a mother who was a cleaning lady, Achraf Hakimi had a very modest childhood. Moroccan international footballer playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and married to actress Hiba Abouk with whom he has two children, he is now one of the most famous players of the Parisian club.
Achraf Hakimi, 24, has made headlines in major magazines due to his relationship with Spanish actress Hiba Abouk, 36. The couple have two children and currently live in Paris where Hakimi plays as a right-back for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Married in secret in October 2018, the two stars had their first child, Amin, two years later. "We got married before the birth of our son. It was a very family ceremony," the Spanish actress revealed in an interview with ¡Hola!. The second boy, Naim, was born in February 2022.
The couple has remained very discreet. But Hiba’s presence with her two children in Qatar to support Achraf at the World Cup did not go unnoticed. Born in Madrid, Achraf Hakimi plays for the Moroccan national team with which he played his first World Cup in Russia in 2018. Former player of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, his parents settled in Spain several decades ago. Also of Spanish nationality, he had tried to play for La Roja. "I spent a few days in Las Rozas and I saw that it was not the right place for me, I did not feel at home [...] because it was not what I had learned and lived at home, that is to say the Arab culture, the fact of being Moroccan," he confided in an interview with Marca.
"My mother did cleaning jobs. My father was a street vendor so that I could play football, it was an effort and a sacrifice for them. My brothers also had to make sacrifices. We were very poor. Now, I fight for them," he said about his childhood. The young player is currently accused of rape by a 23-year-old woman who filed a complaint against him at the police station in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), the French media Le Parisien announced on Sunday.
