PSG Star Achraf Hakimi Faces Accuser in Court Over Rape Allegations

The Moroccan international of Paris Saint-Germain, Achraf Hakimi, had to deal with the justice system this Friday morning, in connection with a rape accusation against him.
Hakimi, who continued to deny the facts, was confronted in court today with the plaintiff. The player did not participate in the PSG training to attend this judicial confrontation. The club, through a statement, explained his absence for "personal reasons".
The confrontation took place at the Nanterre court, near Paris. The request for a direct confrontation with the accuser had initially been made by Hakimi’s defense at the beginning of the investigation. Despite these legal troubles, PSG coach Luis Enrique confirmed Hakimi’s availability for the match in the 15th round of Ligue 1 against Nantes. The accusation dates back to March 3, when a 24-year-old woman filed a complaint for rape, claiming the incident occurred on February 25, the day before a PSG-OM match.
The plaintiff described the alleged sexual assault at the Nogent-sur-Marne police station, without filing a complaint. Nevertheless, an investigation was opened and the Nanterre prosecutor took over the case. Hakimi, under judicial supervision without a ban on leaving the territory, firmly denies the accusations. The accuser claims to have been forcibly kissed and to have suffered digital penetration despite her resistance. Hakimi’s lawyers raised the possibility of an attempted extortion.
