PSG - Real Sociedad: Achraf Hakimi’s ratings by the sports press

Paris Saint-Germain secured a precious victory (1-2) on the field of Real Sociedad, thus qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Let’s see what the French sports press thinks of the performance of Moroccan Achraf Hakimi.
Hakimi, rated 6 out of 10 by Footmercato, had a timid start to the game, symbolized by a missed control, but managed to gain momentum as the minutes went by. Despite undeniable physical commitment, his game was marred by a caution received in the 41st minute, which will deprive him of the first leg of the quarter-finals. This yellow card, described as useless by Eurosport which gives him a 4.5/10 rating, was the negative turning point of his evening. The media notes a drop in form and difficulty in finding a consistent rhythm, especially in the first half.
Dicodusport, like 90min.com, also gives him a 6/10, noting solid defensive presence and lesser offensive contribution in the second half. Achraf Hakimi was the most solicited player of PSG in the first half, proof of his involvement in the game of his team, despite a tendency to lean more on the left game in the second half.
Parisfans, recognizing an improvement compared to his last outings, also gives him a 6/10. The specialized site points out some technical waste issues but admits a more judicious use of space and reinforced defense.
Sofoot, more critical, assigns Hakimi a rating of 5/10. The media illustrates his game as that of a "daredevil" who, despite his efforts, ended up being sanctioned, thus depriving him of the first leg of the quarter-finals.
Achraf Hakimi’s evening was therefore an illustration of his season: capable of gaining momentum and imposing himself physically, while sometimes being hampered by mistakes and a lack of precision. His suspension for the first quarter-final leg will undoubtedly be a blow for PSG, which will have to find solutions to make up for his absence.
