PSG President Al-Khelaïfi Visits Morocco, Pledges Support After Devastating Earthquake

The president of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Nasser al-Khelaïfi, traveled to Morocco, "his second country", to express his solidarity with the Moroccan people after the powerful and devastating earthquake that struck part of the kingdom on the night of Friday, September 8.
"I am here to express my solidarity with our brothers and the people of Morocco who is like my second country... Your disaster is also ours. We will always be by your side," Nasser al-Khelaïfi said to beIN Sports.
The PSG president made this statement during a visit to the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé. The Qatari was welcomed on this occasion by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa. Several issues of interest were at the heart of the exchanges between the two men.
In the aftermath of the recent deadly earthquake that killed 3,000 people, Morocco has accepted official aid from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Spain.
