PSG’s Hakimi Under Scrutiny After Mixed Performance in 3-0 Win Over AC Milan

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) faced AC Milan in a high-level match that resulted in a clear 3-0 victory for the Parisians. The performance of Moroccan Achraf Hakimi was the subject of many contradictory assessments by the specialized press.
From the kick-off, Hakimi had a difficult first half-hour. According to Footmercato, his performance was far from optimal. He was put under pressure by AC Milan and was guilty of several turnovers, one of which led to a dangerous foul in the penalty area and an early caution in the 16th minute.
One of the main challenges for Hakimi in this match was to deal with AC Milan’s formidable striker, Rafael Leão. Eurosport felt that Hakimi was rather timid in his offensive play, rarely venturing into the opposing half. Leão was a tough opponent, regularly putting him in difficulty in duels and in the race.
Fortunately for the Moroccan, the second half showed a slight improvement in his performance. Sofoot recalled that he had already managed to control Leão in the past, suggesting that he has the potential to do better. Maxifoot also noted an improvement after the break, although Leão continued to represent a challenge.
Overall, Achraf Hakimi’s performance was judged average by the specialized press. He was described as "valuable" in the build-up phases by Eurosport, but his turnovers and difficulties against Leão were regularly highlighted. The grades he received range from 4/10 to 6.5/10, reflecting the diversity of opinions on his performance.
