PSG’s Hakimi Confident Ahead of Champions League Clash with Real Madrid

Achraf Hakimi announced on Monday that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is ready for the return leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16. The match will take place this Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
"There’s no need to talk about it. Everyone knows what Real Madrid is, what the Bernabéu stadium is and what happens there on Champions League nights," said Achraf Hakimi, former right-back of the Spanish club and currently playing for PSG, in an interview given on Monday to the newspaper Le Parisien.

For the Moroccan international, PSG is full of talented footballers who have experience in this type of event. "We have prepared and I think we are ready for this match," he added, specifying that he will not change his style of play for this match, as advised by coach Mauricio Pochettino. "He told me not to change the way I play, whether it’s a match against Real Madrid or another," explained Hakimi.
The Moroccan remembers with great emotion the victory of PSG in the first leg at the Parc des Princes, thanks to the goal scored by Kylian Mbappé in the last minutes of the game. "Scoring at home at the end of a Champions League match is very important, because that goal can give us an advantage and allow us to qualify..." stressed the Moroccan.
Achraf Hakimi also talked about his friendship with Mbappé. "We are two 23-year-olds who share the same tastes. We talk about music, video games, we go to restaurants or just spend time together... But I have a private life, Kylian too..." he specified.
