PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Optimistic About Recovery Ahead of Key Matches

Announced as unwell and likely to be absent in the return leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Real Madrid, the Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has given news about his condition.
Before the much-awaited match between PSG and Real Madrid, the Parisian club will have to go through the Nice stage. But the participation of the Moroccan player in these two matches seems compromised, due to his thigh injury. Absent at the last minute against Saint-Étienne (3-1) last Saturday, Achraf Hakimi assures about his good form.
"Every day that passes, I feel better," the Atlas Lion confided on Thursday to the newspaper Le Parisien. "Today in France. We’re going little by little and we’ll see the evolution. Thank God, it’s not serious. I’m coming back on the pitch," he added.
According to the French media, the club’s medical report will have to be waited for to know the decision of the staff, but caution was the order of the day on Thursday at the Loges camp. In addition to the probable unavailability of Achraf Hakimi, some players like Sergio Ramos (calf), Ander Herrera (muscle discomfort) and Leandro Paredes (adductors) could be missing.
There is also Kylian Mbappé, suspended for accumulation of cards. As for Marco Verratti, he was suspended after his comments on refereeing during the Nantes-PSG match (3-1).
