PSG Edges Brest 3-2: Hakimi’s Mixed Performance Overshadowed by Mbappé’s Double

Paris Saint-Germain won 3-2 against Stade Brestois in the 10th round of Ligue 1. While Kylian Mbappé stood out with a double, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi delivered a contrasting performance, which elicited various reactions among football specialists.
The site 90mn.com gave Hakimi a score of 4/10, arguing that he was "not in his best version" during this duel. The player showed an unusual nervousness, despite quite sustained activity on both sides of the field.
Maxifoot and Parifans both gave a score of 5/10 to the PSG right-back. While the first site highlighted Hakimi’s ability to control Le Douaron’s runs, it also noted some waste in his runs and lack of danger in the approach to the opposing goal. For its part, Parifans noted good interventions by the player at the start of the match, but pointed out a drop in form at the end of the first half.
Pariteams.fr was more severe, giving a score of 4/10 and highlighting the many balls lost by the player, reflecting a performance below his usual abilities.
The daily Le Parisien gave Hakimi a score of 4.5/10. The newspaper praised his interesting projections in the first half and his ability to offer a goal chance to Mbappé. However, it pointed to the spaces left by the player in his back, forcing his teammates to redouble their defensive efforts.
Finally, Footmercato highlighted Hakimi’s good start to the game, notably with a remarkable shot in the 6th minute. However, like his team, he gradually faded, committing some positioning errors.
If Achraf Hakimi has shown some nice things at times, his performance against Brest did not really convince all the observers. It remains to be seen how the player will respond in the next appointments, as PSG hopes to capitalize on its positive momentum at the top of Ligue 1.
