PSG’s Defensive Crisis Deepens as Hakimi Ruled Out for Rennes Clash

Achraf Hakimi, one of Paris Saint-Germain’s most important players, is currently going through a difficult period due to an injury that is forcing him to follow an individual recovery program on the pitch. This injury will make him unavailable for the match against Stade Rennais during the 28th round of Ligue 1. Unfortunately, Hakimi is not the only injured player, as PSG is facing a real defensive injury crisis.
The medical report of the Parisian club revealed that no less than four members of the defensive team are affected by injuries, not counting Presnel Kimpembe, who is unavailable for the rest of the season. Nordi Mukiele, Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos have already been absent since the match against Brest, and Sergio Ramos is now joining this list after feeling discomfort in his right calf. Carlos Soler is also uncertain for the match against Stade Rennais.
This difficult situation leaves Paris coach Mauricio Pochettino with little choice, as he will likely have to call on inexperienced players to cope with this cascade of defensive injuries. PSG must therefore find a solution to make up for these absences, especially against a tough opponent like Stade Rennais. The Breton club, currently fifth in the French championship standings, could therefore pose serious problems for a Parisian team already weakened by injuries.
