PSG Coach Pochettino Praises New Signing Hakimi’s Impressive Pre-Season Performance
If Achraf Hakimi is happy to be one of Paris Saint-Germain’s new recruits, his coach Mauricio Pochettino is even more so and does not hide it. The Argentine technician, who has extended his contract with PSG, is full of praise for the potential of the Moroccan international.
The Atlas Lion landed at PSG this summer from Inter Milan, and is already unanimous within the Parisian club. He has amazed his coach by showing him the extent of his talent in pre-season.
He scored a goal and an assist in his first baptism of fire. Mauricio Pochettino is very happy about it. "Hakimi? We had set targets based on certain characteristics. Among these, logically, the name you mention brings significant added value."
The transfer of the Moroccan international was one of the big attractions of this summer transfer window. Trained at Real Madrid, he was transferred for 60 million euros (plus bonuses).
With Inter, Achaf Hakimi played 37 of the 38 Serie A matches and lifted the Italian Cup. He hopes to win the Champions Trophy with PSG, which will be held on Sunday, August 1 in Tel Aviv.
