PSG Aims to Secure Achraf Hakimi with Lucrative Contract Extension Amid Real Madrid Interest

Faced with the loss of Kylian Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain is turning to the future and the extension of one of its pillars: Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan right-back, under contract until June 2026, is in the sights of the Merengue club, and PSG wants to dissuade him from leaving by offering him a new and more lucrative contract.
Arrived at PSG in 2021 from Inter Milan, Hakimi has quickly established himself as an indispensable element of the Parisian system. His versatility, his offensive contribution and his defensive solidity make him a key player in the club’s game plan.
Aware of Real Madrid’s interest in their player, the Parisian leaders have activated the extension of his contract. Discussions have already been initiated between the two parties, and an agreement could be reached quickly.
PSG would offer Hakimi a new two or three-year contract, with a significant salary increase. His current salary, which is around 10 million euros net per year, could be considerably increased to place him among the best-paid players in the club.
In addition to his football qualities, Hakimi is also an important player for PSG’s image. His popularity in Morocco and the Arab world is a valuable asset for the club, which wants to strengthen its influence in these regions.
If Hakimi were to extend his contract with PSG, his future at Real Madrid would be considerably darkened. The Merengue club already has a plethoric squad in the right-back position, with Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez and Eder Militao.
