PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Aims High, Vows to Improve Despite Strong Start

Just before the PSG - Bruges match for the 6th round of the Champions League, the Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi said he feels very good at Paris-Saint Germain and is ready to help the team to achieve great victories.
Heavily criticized in recent days, the Parisian defender reassured about his form in an interview with the club’s TV channel, stating that he feels good in Paris and that he is happy to continue working to achieve great things.
Discussing his much-appreciated Parisian debut, Hakimi said: "It’s true that I had a rather good start. But I think I can do even better. There are still many things to work on, to improve, to understand each other on the pitch. I think little by little, it will be better, that better results will come, and that I will also perform better. My goal is to help the team during the matches."
Regarding the tactical plan of the coach for each match, the Parisian defender says he has "already played in 4 or 5 defenses and for me, it doesn’t change much, because I’m first a defender. And then, if I have the chance to attack, I also enjoy doing it. But the truth is that I think first of defending and then of attacking. Then, in that case, I try to provide offensive support to bring more solutions. My role is also to give options to all our great players."
To win the Champions League, Hakimi believes it takes "character, unity, a very, very close-knit team. The key is mutual aid and above all hard work".
