Prince Moulay Hicham shares a rare photo of King Mohammed VI
To mark the start of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Prince Moulay Hicham Alaoui shared a nostalgic snapshot. On his Facebook page, he posted a rare photo dating back to the early 1970s, showing King Mohammed VI on a football pitch.
The image, taken from the prince’s personal album, was taken in Ifrane. It shows the sovereign alongside his cousin, Prince Hicham, and Fadel Benyaich, the King’s classmate at the Royal School.
In his message, Prince Hicham invited Moroccans to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of this continental event. He also welcomed the delegations and supporters who have come from Africa and around the world.
This publication comes as the competition officially began this Sunday in Rabat. On the pitch of the Moulay Abdellah complex, Morocco made a successful start by winning 2-0 against the Comoros.
