Prince Moulay Hicham Shares Rare Photo of Childhood with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI

The cousin of King Mohammed VI, on his Facebook account, revives the nostalgic memories of the moments spent with the Sovereign and his late father, Prince Moulay Abdellah, while evoking his relationship with his uncle Hassan II.
"In this photo, dating back to the 1970s, we can see my late father, Prince Moulay Abdellah, accompanied by myself and my cousin, King Mohammed VI, reviewing a squadron of the national guard," he wrote in his message.
"Mohammed VI, as heir apparent, and my father, as the king’s advisor, used to travel together to represent the late Hassan II. My uncle managed to make up for my frustration, with horseback riding sessions or hunting outings," he added.
Born on March 4, 1964 in Rabat, Moulay Hicham is a member of the royal family and first cousin of King Mohammed VI. Nicknamed the "Red Prince" for his rebellious positions, he is known for his desire to democratize the royal institution and separate powers.
