Prince Harry’s Morocco Flight Delayed by London Fog, Royal Air Maroc Explains

Criticized by many British media following the delay of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s flight during their official trip to Morocco, the airline Royal Air Maroc explains itself in a press release, blaming the weather conditions in London.
"Due to thick fog over London, the authorities of London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports asked several airlines, including Royal Air Maroc, to temporarily suspend their flights to the English capital last Saturday," the statement said, specifying that flight AT 803, on Saturday, February 23, carrying Prince Harry and the accompanying delegation, was also affected by this decision of the British airport authorities and had to suffer a one-hour delay.
As for the loss of some travelers’ luggage accompanying the prince and his wife, the airline claims that "the three passengers concerned were indeed transported by Royal Air Maroc on flight AT 801 on Friday, February 22, between London and Casablanca," while assuring that they never checked their luggage on this flight.
"We were subsequently informed that, for purely operational reasons specific to the three passengers, the said luggage had to be shipped from London to Casablanca via a stopover in Madrid through airlines other than Royal Air Maroc. This was not a decision of our company. Royal Air Maroc is therefore in no way responsible for the non-receipt of their luggage in Casablanca, having at no time transported the said luggage on its lines."
