Premier League Clubs Battle for Ajax Star Mazraoui as Contract Nears End

Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is of interest to several English and Spanish clubs who are fighting to recruit him. His contract with Ajax expires in about six months.
After Arsenal and Leeds United, two other English clubs Everton and Aston Villa want to acquire the services of Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui, reports Team talk. Now the coaches of the Toffees, Frank Lampard and the Villans, Steven Gerrard, are battling for the Moroccan winger. In addition to these English clubs, there are Spanish clubs like FC Barcelona who also have the 24-year-old player in their sights.
The Ajax Amsterdam star is actually ready to leave his club. "The chances of staying at Ajax are very low, maybe 5%. I’m open to novelty. I’ve been playing here for 16 years and I think it’s the right time to leave Ajax," Noussair Mazraoui told the Dutch media. For its part, the Dutch club also says it is ready to let its protégé go.
"We’ve lost months in the negotiations. [...] We’d like to keep [Mazraoui] but now it’s mid-December so you know where it’s going," Ajax director Edwin Van der Sar said last year.
