Pope Francis to Visit Morocco for Two-Day Apostolic Journey, Meet King Mohammed VI

The Pope will visit Morocco on March 30 and 31. This will be the Pope’s 28th apostolic journey and the majority of the program will take place in Rabat. The Pope, among other things, will meet with King Mohammed VI.
Upon his arrival in Morocco at the Rabat-Salé international airport, the Pope will head to the Royal Palace to meet with the Moroccan sovereign. Then a speech is scheduled from the esplanade of the Hassan Mosque, addressed "to the Moroccan people, the authorities, civil society and the diplomatic corps" according to Vaticannews.
The 266th Pope will then visit the mausoleum of King Mohammed V. The next visit will be to the Mohammed VI Institute for the training of imams, preachers and preachers (he will deliver a greeting there) and, finally, to close the program of March 30: a visit to the headquarters of the Diocesan Caritas. Pope Francis will meet with migrants there and deliver an address.
Regarding the second day of Pope Francis’ visit (the first of the name, to recall), Vaticannews explains: "he will go to the rural social services center in Témara, a city south of the Rabat agglomeration. He will then return to the Moroccan capital for the meeting at the cathedral with the priests and consecrated, as well as the Ecumenical Council of Churches. He will deliver a speech there as well as the prayer of the Angelus."
In the afternoon, Pope Francis will celebrate a mass before departing by plane, bound for Rome, at 5:15 p.m.
