Polisario Official Blames Leadership and Algeria for Failed Campaign Against Morocco

Polisario leader El Bachir Mustapha Sayed holds Brahim Ghali and Algeria responsible for the failure of the separatist movement in the "war" against Morocco.
El Bachir Mustapha Sayed seems to be in breach with the Polisario leader and the Algerian regime, the protector of the separatist movement. In an audio recording circulated on social media, he openly condemns the resumption of arms, launched on November 13, 2020, by Brahim Ghali against Morocco with the support of Algeria, following the blockade of the El Guerguerat passage with a handful of militiamen disguised as civilians. The younger brother of Mustapha El Ouali, the founder of the Polisario who died in June 1976, believes that it was "a monumental strategic error". A "fatal" error for the Polisario, he notes.
Another monumental error noted: the decision to break the ceasefire agreements, signed under the auspices of the UN in 1991. According to the "presidential advisor", the Polisario no longer has the human resources to wage a war. This could explain the new position of the separatist movement. In a statement, the general secretariat mentioned the Polisario’s commitment to "cooperate in order to implement the African Union summit resolution to silence the guns" on the continent, held in South Africa.
