Polisario Front Officer Defects, Seeks Asylum in Morocco

This "rebel" individual would be the deputy officer of a commander of the "Gendarmerie of the Separatist Front." This "return to the motherland" would have taken place on Monday morning.

As can be read on the 2M website, which is quoting the MAP: "A rebel Polisario cadre, declaring to be of the rank of Captain and serving as Deputy Officer of the ’Commander of a Katiba’ of the so-called ’Gendarmerie of the Separatist Front’, presented himself, on Monday morning, at the level of the Defense Line in the Farcia area (Oued Draa Region), with the declared intention of rallying the motherland, according to a military source."

He is said to have joined the defense line in a multicolored jeep and declared that many people like him had the same intentions.
