Police Brutality Allegations Surface After Young Man Hospitalized in Paris Suburb Clash

During a police intervention in Asnières, on the border with Colombes, a young man received several baton blows to the head. He lost consciousness and was hospitalized.
A police intervention degenerated in Asnières-sur-Seine, on the border with Colombes, in the Paris suburbs, on the evening of November 12, reports Actu.fr specifying that Rayan was seriously injured in the head. While the circumstances of the incident remain undetermined, videos shared on social media by witnesses nonetheless show several police officers running, presumably in search of someone.
Another sequence, continues the same source, shows a policewoman standing, facing a man, inflicting at least two baton blows on him. A third image, taken from another angle, shows an unconscious man lying on the ground, being attended to by the Paris firefighters.
It is a "violent arrest" that caused "the loss of consciousness of a young man taken to the hospital for examination," reacted late at night on Twitter, the mayor of Colombes, Patrick Chaimovitch, who then went to the scene, while demanding "an impartial investigation". On the police side, no explanation on the event.
