US Pledges $3 Billion for Investment in Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa

During the visit of the American-Israeli delegation, on Tuesday in Rabat, two major cooperation agreements were signed between Morocco and the United States. These conventions aim to promote investments in Morocco and Africa.
The first was signed by Mohamed Benchaâboun, Minister of Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform and Adam Boehler, CEO of the American International Development Finance Corporation. This agreement provides for a $3 billion envelope to financially and technically support private investment projects in Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa, in partnership with Moroccans.
As for the second agreement, it constitutes a letter of intent between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States, represented by the American International Development Finance Corporation with regard to the American initiative "Prosper Africa". Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad and Adam Boehler, are the signatories.
A branch of the agency will be set up at the US Embassy in Rabat, in order to facilitate access for American investors and jointly participate in the development of Africa.
